1. Chinese Rural Economy
The teamcovers five specialties: the modernization of agricultural production organization，rural land system, social security of rural non-agricultural industries group, rural financial system, transfer of rural labor. Combinedthe rural economic development with the extensive background of socialist market economy, the team highlights the integrality of the rural, peasant, and agriculture research, which increases the comprehensive advantage in the interdisciplinary study.
2.Urban Economics&Real Estate Economics
The team focuses onreal estate economics, regional economic development and public policy, the regional land development and land use. The real estate economics is a characteristic program and has many advantages.In 1985, CCNU set up the Department of Real Estate Operation & Administration, which provided the first real property program in China.From then, the graduate students have begun to be recruited. Three professors of the team are the members of the expert committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Among them, professor DENG Hongqian is the deputy director of the Housing and the Ministry of Construction of Housing Policy expert committee.Center of Hubei Real PropertyDevelopment Research is the provincial Key Research Base of Humanities and Social Science.
3. Econometricsand Financial Engineering
The research orientations areProductivity and China's industrial growth, Financial Engineering. Productivity and China's industrial growth, one of the main research orientation,is based on the theory of the economic growth, combinedwith the computable general equilibrium and nonparametric methods. Using the nonparametric methods, such as stochastic frontier and data envelopment analysis (DEA), Malmquist index decomposition, cost efficiency function ,one outstanding achievements is the study of China economic growth source and pattern under the restriction of resources and environment. The other research direction, Financial Engineering, focuses on the assets pricing, financial risk measurement and management and credit management.
